Social Networking meets the Vineyard

I am a Web 2.0 entrepreneur with sales and marketing experience at companies such as WebEx and Yahoo with a passion for Social Media. When I was laid off from Yahoo last year I had some time to pursue some of my other passions for wine, gourmet cooking, organic gardening, supporting the Slow Food movement. You'll find posts here about these passions along with some of my experiences and observations in the evolution of social media and the wine industry.

In April 2008, I had the opportunity to do some consulting for a Central Coast winery, Donati Family Vineyard, to help them with Web Marketing and PR. One of the most interesting projects was to create a branded social networking site called WineSpace to improve communication with existing and to attract new customers.

This project went so well I decided to offer it to other winery's such as Eagles Nest, located in the Ramona Valley AVA, near San Diego.
